Located on 9th Ave. near the Port Authority Bus Terminal (an area that seems to be a perpetual restaurant wasteland) sits a small ramen joint that pumps out awesome eats at a very reasonable price; the menu has a few selections for apps and rice dishes but what you’re coming here for is ramen soup.
This is TABATA RAMEN!
Now aside from the normal Shio, Shoyu, Tonkatsu and Miso (as well as a few others) ramens, the one that drew my attention was the Black Sesame ramen. Ground pork and scallions garnish this dark, velvety soup that is chock full of black sesame ramen noodle.
This joint is definitely worth the trip to “no man’s land” and I highly recommend making the visit and trying it yourself! Happy Eating and Enjoy!
