CATFISH DEWEY’S…great local seafood in a great local restaurant.

If you ever find yourself in Florida and north of Ft. Lauderdale, you absolutely must check out this joint CATFISH DEWEYS, for some awesome seafood!  It’s a family owned place that been around since 1984 and their specialty is catfish!  I have had their catfish (as well as other food items, including steak which was very very good) and as good as it was, I must say I absolutely love their peel -n- eat shrimp!

The shrimp are succulent and not overcooked (the picture doesn’t do it enough justice in my opinion).  They are the large sized variety so when you peel em you realize there’s actually substance to it.  Throw in some cocktail sauce and I’m good for a pound or 2!

So as I said, if your ever near Ft. Lauderdale and want to enjoy a local place that has great food, great people and won’t cost you an arm and a leg, Catfish Dewey’s is so worth the trip!
